RE - Religious Education

Religious Education Curriculum Intent Statement

Religious Education (RE) has a significant role for the development of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. It promotes respect towards others with different faiths and beliefs and encourages pupils to develop their sense of identity through personal reflection. At Holymead Primary, we follow the Bristol agreed syllabus for RE, ‘Awareness, Mystery Value’. The aim is to engage pupils through an investigative and enquiry based approach to develop understanding and appreciation for the expression of beliefs, cultural practices and influence of principle religions and worldviews within the world that we live.
